During a recent appearance on the Ventes Rap show, Davido’s manager, Asa Asika, shed light on why the superstar artist has yet to collaborate with Burna Boy and Wizkid on a song.
Asika faced direct questioning from the interviewer, who inquired, “How come we don’t see Davido featuring Burna Boy or Wizkid?”
Rather than addressing the question head-on, Asika skillfully navigated the topic by redirecting the conversation towards collaborative efforts among notable musicians.
He pointed out that Wizkid and Burna Boy had already collaborated on a song, and highlighted Davido’s previous collaboration with Kizz Daniel.
Furthermore, Asika underscored the synergy and connectivity within the music industry, emphasizing his partnership with Davido.
In his words;
“There have been collaborations, Burna Boy and Wizkid have a song, Davido and Kizz Daniel have a song, Davido and Olamide have a song, Asake is on David’s album, so the big artistes in Nigeria work, they might not collaborate as often but they do. Collaboration is one of the major things that have pushed Afrobeats to where it is.”
