Manchester United have registered an interest in Arsenal midfielder Matteo Guendouzi – according to reports.
The Frenchman was removed from Mikel Arteta’s squad to face Southampton due to ‘internal issues’.
As a result, Guendouzi is reportedly considering his future at the club and Arsenal are reportedly willing to sell the 21-year-old for around €40million following his actions in the defeat to Brighton.
L’Equipe believe plenty of clubs would be interested in the midfielder if he is to leave the Gunners, with United mentioned as a possible destination.
The report claims the Reds have registered their interest in the midfielder but face competition from Inter Milan and Juventus. Barcelona and Real Madrid are also believed to be monitoring his situation at the Emirates Stadium but have not firmed up their interest.
MEN Sport understand Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains firmly focused on signing his priority transfer targets Jadon Sancho, Jack Grealish and Jude Bellingham meaning a move for Guendouzi is highly unlikely.
Elsewhere, reports claim United have made contact with former Chelsea star Jeremie Boga as they view him as an alternative to Sancho in the upcoming window.
