Inter Milan secured their 20th Serie A title with a 2-1 victory over rivals AC Milan on Monday.
Francesco Acerbi’s header gave Inter Milan the lead in the first half, while Marcus Thuram’s finish after the break extended their advantage at the San Siro.
Although AC Milan managed to grab a late goal through Fikayo Tomori, it was not enough to change the outcome.
The match witnessed heated moments, with Theo Hernandez and Davide Calabria of AC Milan, as well as Denzel Dumfries of Inter, all receiving red cards.
With this win, Inter Milan now holds an unassailable 17-point lead over their city rivals with five fixtures remaining in the Serie A season.
