Former Barcelona midfielder, Andrés Iniesta is set to hang up his boots from his illustrious football career.
The 40-year-old Spanish icon, considered one of the greatest footballers of all time, will officially announce his retirement on October 8, 2024.
Taking to the micro blogging platform X, on Tuesday, he wrote, “Coming soon 8/10/24,” sparking widespread anticipation among fans and the football lovers around the world.
The legendary Spanish midfielder had a remarkable career spanning more than two decades, Iniesta made 674 appearances for Barcelona’s senior team, scoring 57 goals and providing 135 assists.
