The Yutee Rone blackmail story that saw veteran journalists Abiola Aloba and Sunday Adebayo arrested (read here) has taken a surprising turn as businesswoman Kika Osunde, aka Kika Good Hair, has been implicated in the messy situation.
In the initial story published by LIB, it was reported that Abiola Aloba and Sunday Adebayo were arrested and charged to court for publishing damaging stories about Yutee Rone, the fashion designer behind Yutee Rone Atelier, who is married to billionaire businessman Julius Rone and shares 3 kids with him.
Well, following investigations by police, Kika Good Hair was allegedly fingered as the source who fed Abiola Aloba with false information about Yutee Rone and pressured him to put the stories out.
Aloba reluctantly named his source during interrogation as Kika, but police wanted to be sure he wasn’t implicating someone innocent so they did an investigation of their own and found evidence of Kika’s alleged involvement.
Kika’s alleged involvement comes as a shock because she and Yutee have both, at various times, patronised each other’s businesses.
Our source reveals that Kika was invited by the police for questioning but she did not honour the invitation.
As a result, on Tuesday, March 17, police issued a warrant for Kika’s arrest. Kika is currently in London, however, Nigerian police have been ordered to arrest her on sight if she returns to the country.
Meanwhile, about two weeks ago, Kika shared a cryptic post on Instagram to try to extricate herself from the scandal. It seemed like a regular post to a neutral observer unless you know the background story.
She wrote:
I wish to inform the general public that I’ve seen what is out there against me and my person. But anyway, I’m not ready to join issues with anybody.
As it stands, I’m in discussions with my lawyer and I’m making a complaint to the British authorities to be aware that there is also a threat to my life. At this point, I’m not safe anymore. I’m aware that I’ve been reported to the DSS. I know my rights and the law is going to take its cause (sic). I’m going to follow through the due process to fight my battle.
But not relent, I’m not scared of blackmail or intimidation from those trying to hide their atrocities.
At the appropriate time I will speak my truth with facts. I know my rights, and I will fight for my rights.
